Quality Custom Ponies? You got me sold!
Thu Apr 04, 2019 5:08 am
Hey everyone,
I just found out about this via Instagram over a posting on glow in the dark ponies that blew my mind. So there are 'blank' ponies I can obtain to custom? I had been thinking of making a mold and casting blank ones myself, wrecking my brain on how I could do that... just to find out that it doesn't seem to be necessary and there is a way to safe me all that hassle! Making custom ponies has fascinated me for several years now, but I don't like it when you can obviously see that a pony is a repaint. Don't get me wrong, there is an endless number of amazing art works out there made by people skilled a million times more than I am, but for me, the even and smooth surface of a pony is something I enjoy, and with repaints, this look often is not achieved. This here, on the other hand... this is exactly what I want!
I'll have to go and dig deeper here, my mind is already racing with all kinds of ideas on what to create - once I have the funding to get all the supplies needed, and the time to actually work on them.
I'm actually still fairly new to the whole customization and restoration world, so if I do get started, I might pester you with noob questions. Please bear with me! I'll go tutorial and guide links hunting now, but any links you have that could be helpful, please throw them at me!
